We’d love to go on about all the ways The Stratford at Beyer Park can accommodate and cater to you, but our residents and families do it so much better! Read all the great things our family has to say about us below.
Staff goes above and beyond to make residents happy

I’ve worked at many assisting living and long term [communities] and this one is by far the best! I was a med-tech/caregiver and everyone works as a team together. Residents never have to wait for their assigned caregiver to assist them, they get help by whomever answers the page. Even the director will work as a caregiver if necessary. The company treats their employees with respect and as adults. You even get a free meal on the shift you work, and that’s just one bonus. If anyone has been thinking about applying, do it! Great place to work! Also, if anyone is thinking about a loved one moving in, this assisted living cares more about the residents than anywhere I have ever worked. The staff goes above and beyond to make the residents happy, and not because they have to, but because they want to. Sad to leave but recently became an LVN and had to move on!

Stratford adjusts their care as needed

My mother was a resident at The Stratford at Beyer Park, memory care unit, for more than five years. She was very well cared for, in fact the staff became extended family to her. For this, we will forever be grateful. As my mother became increasingly dependent, care was adjusted accordingly. At more than one point, home health got involved in her care at the suggestion of the program manager. This intervention proved to be very, very effective in restoring my mother’s ability to walk along with her overall well-being. Know that the food is very good, and that they definitely cater to each and everyone’s dietary restrictions as well as likes and dislikes. The staff was also very loving and supportive of my elderly father, who visited almost daily. If your loved one is no longer able to live independently, you should visit, as it is beautifully decorated, designed very functionally for optimum care and supervision, and most importantly, you will rest assured that your love one is being cared for in a very dignified and loving manner.

The Generations program is top notch!

This is where my mother-in-law resides at present and my wife and I are exceptionally pleased with it. Stratford is first class, excellently decorated, has superior services in both staff and care, excellent food, an aggressive activity schedule, a movie theatre, library, game room, a gracious living room and a cute little Poodle Skirt Café which has 24/7 self-serve gratis coffee and cookies and many times ice cream. There is an anytime menu in addition to two entre menus for both lunch and dinner served in a linen tabled dining room by uniformed wait staff. The kitchen goes above and beyond with occasional special meals like BBQ pork and tri-tips cooked on outdoor grills or steak and lobster. We many times check out the menu and eat with mother-in-law. Rooms are doubles and some singles with built-in closets and dressers. Their memory unit (Generations) is electronic entry secured and is served the same menu as in the main area. There are also three patios well secured and escape-proof. Generations residents enjoy the same activity schedule, to include off-premise excursions and entertainment as the other area. We really like Stratford and so does my Generations-residing mother-in-law.

Stratford treats everybody like family

Dear Stratford Assisted Living,

The family of Nellie Beasley would like to express our deepest gratitude to the entire staff employed in the Generations unit. From the first day Nellie became one of your residents, in October 2012, to her passing this month, she was always treated with dignity, respect, and especially love. Like all your residents, she was treated like family, and we know she cared for you too.

Although the transition from independently living in her home for 60 years in Reno, Nevada, to residing in an assisted living [community] was difficult for her, she eventually began to think of the Stratford as her home.

We know that was only made possible by the compassion, patience, understanding and love that was exhibited by everyone she came in contact with at The Stratford.

The entire staff made a difficult situation much easier for all of us and we will never forget you.

Stratford made the transition easy
My mother has been part of the Stratford Family for almost a year now, and I have seen an incredible difference in her in that time. As one might imagine, she was reluctant to leave a home (that was too big for her to take care of and frankly dangerous with stairs and no one close by on a consistent basis). My husband and I visited several senior living residences in the area, but the Stratford won us over, hands down, based on the beautiful way the property is maintained, along with the respect and love that the staff shows to their residents. My anxiety was greatly relieved when she agreed to move into the Stratford, but she was still unconvinced she would be happy. Fast forward 10 months and she is now fully integrated into the Stratford Family, from calling Bingo, to spending time with residents who have special needs, to being front and center to go on the next outing that is planned for the residents. I am eternally grateful to the staff at The Stratford for being there when I could not to help her realize how wonderful the next stages of her life could be (and trust me, she’s taking every moment by storm!). My sincere thanks Stratford!

Stratford staff keeps us informed every step of the way

The Stratford at Beyer Park has been the ideal assisted living location for my mother. The staff is incredibly gentle and caring. They look after all the residents as if they were family members, going out of their way to provide extra attention. They’ve done surprise balloons for my mother and shown up with pictures, always make sure she is included in activities if she wants or let her be by herself if she needs privacy, and help her with day-to-day-living tasks when she is struggling.

The staff is also very open and informative when talking to family and wonderfully pro-active when it comes to getting needed care, both of which are a real plus for us as we do not live in the area. We’re always kept informed about what is going on and given real options for dealing with problems rather than just being informed that something seems wrong and waiting for us to provide a solution. It is such a relief to know that Mom is safe and happy.
